Job Description
We are looking for a HVAC Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.
Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a HVAC Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
As the HVAC Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
The HVAC Engineer, will be responsible for:
* Maintain and manage plant rooms and HVAC systems to the highest standards.
* Ensure all work-related planned maintenance tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
* Identify and report any defects, keeping the client informed of site activities.
* Troubleshoot and understand building management systems (BMS) along with Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, and Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) systems.
* Mechanical plumbing experience would be a plus.
* Participate in the on-call rota and attend to emergencies when needed.
To be successful for this HVAC Engineer role you must have:
* C&G Level 3 Heating & Ventilation
* Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
* FGAS certification.
* Full current driving license.
* In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and Permits to Work.
* Ability to perform manual tasks including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to operate a mobile device effectively.
* Highly self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
