HVAC Specialist
Location: Birmingham, Blackpool, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield (Hybrid - 3 days on site)
Contract Length: Until March 2026 (with possible extension)
Rate: Up to £550 per day (Umbrella, inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Specialist to support a major public sector organisation in delivering a more energy-efficient and sustainable estate. This role will play a key part in shaping HVAC standards, processes, and compliance while driving innovation and supporting Net Zero goals.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement HVAC processes and standards (BMS, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and related equipment).
Ensure compliance, safety, and performance across the supply chain and service delivery.
Manage HVAC assets, PPM schedules, and compliance registers.
Audit projects, analyse asset performance, and identify improvements.
Act as subject matter expert, providing guidance, technical advice, and support to major projects.
Essential Skills
Significant experience with HVAC systems in large estates.
Strong knowledge of legislation, safety, and compliance standards.
Expertise in asset management and PPM scheduling (e.g., SFG20).
Stakeholder management with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Familiarity with CAFM systems and compliance solutions.
