HVAP Data Centre Day Technician – Slough – £50k
Company Overview:
A leading facilities services provider is seeking an experienced HVAP Data Centre Technician to join their team on a flagship data centre site in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-profile critical environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of essential systems.
Role Overview:
As a Day HVAP Data Centre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across critical electrical systems, with a focus on HV operations and switching.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Monday to Friday position, 8am–5pm.
*
Work as part of an on-site engineering team maintaining all critical systems.
*
Perform HV switching operations in line with site procedures and safety rules.
*
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
*
Carry out fault finding and rectification on electrical systems.
*
Support mechanical systems when required to maintain site uptime.
*
Maintain accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.
*
Liaise with clients and contractors ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
*
Valid HV Authorised Person (HVAP) ticket.
*
Strong background in electrical maintenance within a critical environment.
*
Experience in HV switching operations.
*
Previous work in data centres preferred, though hospital, banking, or pharmaceutical experience will be considered.
*
City & Guilds 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent).
