HVAP Shift Leader – Brand New Data Centre – Based in Hayes West London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HVAP Shift Leader to join the on-site team at a brand new, state-of-the-art data centre in West London. This role offers the chance to be part of a major project for one of the industry’s most respected engineering services providers, supporting one of their longest-standing clients.
As Shift Leader, you will take day-to-day responsibility for two shift engineers, overseeing all critical engineering operations and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and compliance are maintained.
Salary: £61,000 + £3,000 HV Approval Allowance
Shift Pattern: Continental Days & Nights (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage two on-shift engineers on a rotating days and nights continental pattern
* Ensure all critical and non-critical engineering systems are operating effectively
* Carry out high voltage switching and ensure safe systems of work are always followed
* Manage PPM schedules, reactive tasks and support operational uptime
* Liaise with the client and attend regular site and shift handover meetings
* Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
* Come from an Electrical background with the recognised trade qualifications to match
* Valid HV Authorised Person (HVAP) ticket
* Previous experience leading a shift team in a data centre environment is essential
* Strong technical knowledge of critical systems (e.g., HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, CRAC units, etc.)
* Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure critical environment
