We’re seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer / Technician to join a well-established engineering business specialising in hydraulic system design, installation, and maintenance. This is a hands-on, technically focused position suited to someone with strong hydraulic knowledge and the ability to both fault-find and design complete systems.
The Role:
· Design and develop bespoke hydraulic systems for mobile and industrial applications
· Diagnose and repair hydraulic faults, both in the workshop and on-site
· Assemble, test, and commission hydraulic circuits, pumps, and control systems
· Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
· Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored technical solutions
· Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and performance standards
The Candidate:
· Proven experience working with hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and manifolds
· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across various hydraulic applications
· Ability to design and modify hydraulic circuits and schematics
· Relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
· Practical, hands-on background with excellent attention to detail
· Confident working independently and liaising directly with customers
