Job Title: Hydrographic Survey Manager – UK Multi-Disciplinary Survey Consultancy
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + Generous Package
Location: Irvine, East Kilbride (Largely office-based with occasional UK/International site travel)

Due to the continued expansion and a strong pipeline of complex projects, our established ISO PAS99 accredited independent survey company client is seeking an experienced and driven Hydrographic Survey Manager to join their team. This is a critical leadership role that will support operational excellence and robust Quality Assurance (QA) processes from their central Scotland base.

This pivotal management position will see you lead a dedicated team of surveyors, acting as the technical authority for hydrographic survey operations. You will be instrumental in the planning, execution, and quality control of surveys to precise client specifications, merging your technical expertise with effective team leadership and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management: Co-ordinate, manage, and lead a team of surveyors and assistants, providing expert technical advice, coaching, and effective performance management.
Operational Planning: Determine the most appropriate and efficient approach to the planning and execution of hydrographic and multidisciplinary surveys.
Quality Assurance (QA): Ensure the accuracy of survey data and results by implementing robust QA processes, conforming to best practice and industry standards.
Commercial Support: Assist the commercial team in the completion of high-value tender and Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) documentation.
HSEQ & Compliance: Actively promote the company’s HSEQ Policies and assist with audits, ensuring full compliance to defined processes.
What We’re Looking For
Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in a senior Hydrographic Survey role across a broad range of survey disciplines.
Demonstrable experience in leading a team and efficiently managing a hydrographic survey department.
Relevant degree qualification (or equivalent professional experience).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
