Job Title: Hygiene Manager
Salary: £40k-£60k + Benefits – Depending on experience
Location: Central Manchester – On-site (4 weekdays + Saturdays, 10am-7pm shift)

The Role
You’ll lead our hygiene operation across day and night shifts, keeping our high standards audit-ready every day. Managing a team of 17, you’ll make sure every production area meets – and exceeds – hygiene expectations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend time on the floor as well as planning and coordinating.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, coach, and develop a team of 17 hygiene operatives (day/night)
* Plan rotas and allocate daily hygiene tasks across all production areas
* Carry out daily hygiene audits, acting immediately on any issues
* Lead the team to ensure readiness for unannounced audits
* Support deep cleans during Saturday downtime alongside engineering
* Drive continuous improvement in hygiene processes and standards
* Liaise with production and engineering to maintain smooth operations
What You’ll Need
* Hygiene or food safety experience in food, beverage, or pharma manufacturing
* Experience with audits and compliance (BRC knowledge preferred)
* Practical, hands-on approach – comfortable working on the floor
* Proven ability to lead diverse, multi-shift teams
* Problem-solving mindset with a focus on “find and fix”
* Flexibility to work Saturdays and occasional late/early shifts
