Hygiene Manager
(Food Manufacturing)
Monday to Friday, Office Hours
This business is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of premium, high-care food products — and their whole operation is built around sustainability, quality, and doing things properly. The factory’s modern, the leadership team’s switched on, and now they’re looking for a Hygiene Manager who can take full ownership of standards, systems, and people.
You’ll be leading a dedicated hygiene team, shaping best practice, and making sure the site runs safely, efficiently, and audit-ready. It’s a role for someone who enjoys improving things — not just keeping them ticking over.
You’ll work closely with production and technical, bringing a balance of structure and flexibility to the table. The site runs to tight standards, but there’s room for you to make your mark — modernising routines, coaching your team, and introducing smarter, more sustainable ways of working.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading and developing a team of hygiene operatives to deliver consistently high standards across site
Overseeing hygiene systems, cleaning schedules, and audits to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
Managing resources and budgets effectively — planning work, people, and product flow to keep the site spotless and efficient
Driving a strong hygiene and food safety culture through engagement, training, and hands-on leadership
Working cross-functionally with operations, technical, and production to prevent issues before they start
Reviewing results, reporting trends, and finding opportunities for continuous improvement
What you’ll need:
Experience in a Hygiene Manager role within food manufacturing (ideally high-care)
Sound knowledge of hygiene systems, chemicals, and auditing requirements
HACCP and Food Safety understanding (Level 3 minimum)
Someone confident leading people — calm, practical, and approachable
The ability to challenge when needed, but also bring people with you
A passion for doing things the right way — sustainably, safely, and with pride
What’s on offer:
£60,000–£65,000 DOE
Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (with a bit of flexibility where needed)
25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
Pension, life assurance, and a benefits package that actually means something
A supportive, values-led culture that believes in investing in people and the planet
If you’re looking for a role where you can truly own hygiene standards and build something lasting, this could be the one.
