HYGIENE TEAM MANAGER

Job Title - Hygiene Team Manager
 Location - Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
 Salary: £35,000 - £39,000
 Shift: Monday to Friday, rotating weekly shifts of 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm

Job Role of the Hygiene Team Manager

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by an experienced Hygiene Team Manager has come to the forefront.

This is a great opportunity to join a large, high-volume, fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site which has seen significant investment and expansion. The site produces millions of products every week and offers an excellent environment for an experienced hygiene professional looking to develop their career.

You will be responsible for leading and supervising the hygiene team, ensuring cleaning and sanitation activities are completed safely and to the required standards. You will play a key role in maintaining high hygiene standards across production areas, ensuring compliance with food safety, GMP, health & safety and audit requirements.

You will also be responsible for team training, hygiene inspections, documentation, KPI reporting, stock management and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Sector – Food Manufacturing / FMCG

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Hygiene Team Manager

Previous experience in a supervisory or team management role within a food manufacturing environment.
Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent.
HACCP Level 3 or equivalent.
Experience working within open-plant cleaning environments.
Strong understanding of hygiene standards within food manufacturing.
Strong communication and leadership skills.

Desirable Requirements for the Hygiene Team Manager

Experience managing hygiene teams within food manufacturing.
Knowledge of dry-cleaning processes.
Experience within chocolate manufacturing or a similar FMCG environment.
Awareness of microbial risks including yeast, mould and humidity control.
Understanding of BRC standards.
