Job Description
Do you know the problems facing the Water Treatment Industry? It’s the aging infrastructure, rising operational costs and demanding growth plus many more. How would you feel about helping to maintain, reduce and support the above issues? You’ll be the hands-on link between complex systems and safe efficient water treatment.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated ICA Technician to join a specialist team of engineers, working on critical instrumentation and control systems within Water Treatment and other complex environments. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in high-integrity settings and is passionate about maintaining the systems that keep vital services running safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
* Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
* Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on sensors, PLCs, HMIs, and telemetry systems.
* Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice), and water industry standards.
* Support commissioning of new systems, upgrades, and control panel modifications.
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed, fault diagnosis, and modifications.
Experience required:
* Proven experience as an ICA Technician or similar role in Water Treatment, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
* Strong working knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
* Understanding of regulatory requirements, including DSEAR/ATEX, HAZOP, or GMP environments.
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Control Systems.
* Full UK driving licence (site visits may be required)Before You Apply
