Job Description

Copello have partnered with an established engineer in the recruitment of an ILS & Sustainment Engineer to provide technical assurance across asset management, lifecycle support and sustainment strategies within a complex engineering environment.
Key responsibilities:
  * 
    Provide independent technical assurance across ILS, asset management and sustainment strategies.
  * 
    Assess reliability, availability, maintainability, spares, repair and support assumptions.
  * 
    Identify obsolescence, supplier and through-life support risks and recommend mitigations.
  * 
    Produce technical analysis, confidence assessments and decision-ready reporting.
  * 
    Support lifecycle reviews, asset refresh programmes and governance activities.
  * 
    Work collaboratively with engineering, projects, supply chain, logistics and service teams.
  * 
    Apply data analytics and digital tools to improve sustainment insight and reporting.
About you:
  * 
    Degree or relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
  * 
    Experience in ILS, asset management, sustainment or supportability engineering.
  * 
    Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and service management principles.
  * 
    Experience analysing reliability, availability and maintainability data.
  * 
    Strong Excel skills and experience with reporting/data analysis tools such as Power BI.
  * 
    Experience working within a project-focused engineering environment.
  * 
    Understanding of obsolescence, supplier risk and whole-life costing.
  * 
    ILS or Asset Management qualification desirable.
  * 
    Experience within defence, aerospace, aviation or another highly regulated engineering environment would be advantageous.
Security clearance is required for this position, with occasional travel to other operational sites and potentially overseas.
