Immunohistochemistry Scientist 📍 On-Site | Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week 🧬 Preclinical & Translational Research About the Role We are seeking an experienced Immunohistochemistry Scientist to join a growing scientific team delivering high-quality laboratory services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research clients. Reporting to the Principal Scientist, you will play a key role in the design, development, optimisation, and execution of automated assays, supporting a diverse portfolio of research and regulated studies. This is an excellent opportunity for a scientist who enjoys combining hands-on laboratory work with scientific problem-solving, client interaction, and project ownership. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop and optimise automated IHC assays using relevant tissues, controls, and reagents. * Independently design and execute experiments, analyse data, and communicate findings. * Generate high-quality scientific data and provide expert technical input across client projects. * Troubleshoot assay performance and resolve scientific challenges efficiently. * Prepare high-quality project proposals, study reports, and scientific documentation. * Manage project timelines and contribute to successful client delivery. * Ensure the integrity, quality control, and traceability of all scientific data and associated records. * Support continuous improvement initiatives, SOP development, and process optimisation. * Contribute scientific expertise during client meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions when required. * Ensure compliance with GLP, GCLP, GxP, HTA, Health & Safety, and other applicable regulatory standards. About You Essential Requirements * BSc degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline. * Minimum 3-4 years' work experience developing, analysing, and reporting high-quality research data using automated IHC platforms. * Proven ability to analyse scientific data and produce high-quality reports. * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams. * Full right to work in UK Desirable Experience * Experience within a CRO, contract research, or biopharmaceutical environment. * Working knowledge of GLP, GCLP, or broader GxP regulations. * Current Hepatitis B vaccination.
