Import Coordinator – Customs Clearance (Fresh Produce & POAO Imports)
Location: Chatham, Kent
Salary: £21,000 – £29,000 per annum + Quarterly Performance Bonus
Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 – 19:00
Additional: Weekend and bank holiday cover required on a rota basis

Our Client, a small and dynamic customs clearance agency, is expanding its operations and is seeking a driven Import Coordinator to join their team of nine specialists. They work closely with imports of Fresh Produce and Products of Animal Origin (POAO) from Europe and Morocco.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit customs entries to relevant UK authorities.

Liaise directly with HMRC, Port Health, DEFRA, and other regulatory bodies.

Track incoming shipments and proactively update customers.
*
Submit necessary certificates and documentation for audit compliance.
*
Handle customer queries and ensure clear, timely communication.
*
Maintain internal systems and trackers to ensure data accuracy.
