Import Coordinator
Location: Manchester

We are looking for an experienced Import Coordinator to join a Manchester Operations team. Responsibilities
*
Manage import ocean freight shipments from booking through to final delivery.
*
Support the operational requirements of a key customer account, ensuring service delivery aligns with customer-specific requirements, SOPs and agreed service standards.
*
Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, hauliers and suppliers to ensure efficient shipment execution.
*
Arrange customs clearance and deliveries while maintaining compliance with company procedures.
*
Monitor shipments, resolve operational issues and provide proactive customer updates.
*
Maintain accurate CargoWise records, documentation and financial information.
*
Build strong customer relationships and support the successful onboarding and retention of key accounts.
*
Develop a practical understanding of ocean, road and air freight operations to support joined-up customer solutions across the wider supply chain.
*
Continuously develop your industry knowledge and contribute to service improvements.
Profile Essentials
*
Experience in ocean freight forwarding and end-to-end shipment management.
*
Experience using CargoWise or a similar transport management system.
*
Excellent customer service, communication and relationship-building skills.
*
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
*
A team player committed to delivering exceptional service.
Profile Desirable
*
Experience in road freight operations.
*
Knowledge of customs clearance requirements and customs compliance.
