Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Overview:
A well-established logistics and supply chain company is seeking an experienced Import Manager to oversee and manage EU Road freight operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and highly organised professional who thrives in a dynamic logistics environment and understands the complexities of cross-border freight.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all EU import operations via road freight
Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods from the EU into the UK
Oversee customs clearance procedures and ensure full compliance with post-Brexit regulations
Build and maintain strong relationships with hauliers, customs agents, and internal stakeholders
Monitor and optimise freight costs and performance metrics
Handle documentation, booking systems, and import declarations accurately
Lead and support a small team to achieve operational excellenceRequirements:
Proven experience in EU import operations, specifically road freight with a UK based freight forwarder
Strong understanding of UK/EU customs processes and documentation
Excellent planning, communication, and leadership skills
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
