The Imports Co-ordinator Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Imports Co-ordinator to join our team who will be responsible for managing and coordinating the importation of goods, including documentation, customs clearance, and communication with suppliers and carriers. This role involves ensuring compliance with import regulations, monitoring shipments, and resolving any issues that arise during the import process.
Key responsibilities of our Imports Co-ordinator:
Coordinating and managing the importation of goods from various international suppliers
Ensuring accurate and timely processing of import documentation, including, invoices, and packing lists
Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or issues
Ensuring compliance with all relevant import regulations and customs requirements
Preparing and submitting customs documentation and declarations
Liaising with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth customs clearance
Communicating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate import activities
Providing regular updates to internal stakeholders on the status of shipments and any potential issues
What we are looking for in our Imports Co-ordinator:
Minimum 3 years of work experience as import coordinator or a similar role in the logistics industry
Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and logistics management software
Preferably have experience in all aspects of export and import regulatory compliance
Friendly, positive, and professional attitude • Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
Proactive and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
