Progress Teachers are currently seeking an experienced Inclusion Mentor to work within a mainstream Nottingham Secondary School. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with challenging behaviours, supporting them to engage well with their learning and make positive academic and personal progress.

This role will include:
Behavioural Support:
* Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to foster positive student behaviour.
* Providing one-on-one or small-group interventions to address behavioural challenges.
* Collaborating with teachers and support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
Academic Support:
* Assisting students with academic tasks and offering additional support as needed.
* Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
* Monitoring and recording student progress, collaborating with the teaching team to address learning gaps.
Emotional Support:
* Building positive relationships with students to promote emotional well-being.
* Providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves in.
* Recognising and responding to the social and emotional needs of students.
Safeguarding:
* Liaising with pastoral and safeguarding teams to address bullying concerns or negative behaviours.
* Logging all safeguarding concerns accurately and securely for reporting and actioning.
* Collaborating with outside agencies such as the police, local authorities, and care teams when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Prior experience preferred but open to individuals with transferable skills from roles such as Youth Work, Family Support Worker, and Children’s Residential Support Worker.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting academic and emotional development
