Job Summary
To strategically lead and manage specialist housing and income management services, ensuring exceptional tenancy sustainment and income maximization across dementia-friendly schemes, resettlement programs, homelessness projects, and specialist housing functions. Responsible for leadership of team managers and delivery of high-quality, compliant, customer-focused services.

Main Responsibilities
Lead and inspire team managers to deliver specialist housing and income services aligned to corporate priorities.
Drive tenancy sustainment and rent collection performance through early intervention, coaching, and supportive approaches.
Deliver specialist housing management services for dementia schemes, resettlement support, and homelessness projects.
Lead safeguarding practices across all services, ensuring effective identification and management of vulnerable adults and children.
Embed a strong health and safety, risk management, and customer safeguarding culture across teams.
Champion customer involvement, shaping services based on feedback and co-production principles.
Manage service budgets effectively, delivering value for money and securing external funding where possible.
Foster strong partnership working with local authorities, support services, and voluntary sector organisations.
Use data, KPIs and customer insight to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Contribute to strategic planning and organisational objectives, representing Ongo at external forums and stakeholder meetings.
The post holder will be expected to be aware of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children and report any concerns via Ongo’s Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Skills, Competence, Experience Required
Substantial leadership experience in specialist housing and/or income management services.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy sustainment, income management, and supported housing frameworks.
Proven ability to drive service performance and cultural change.
Experience working with vulnerable groups, including people with dementia, homeless individuals, and resettlement clients.
Ability to manage service budgets and secure external funding.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership building skills.
High-level written, communication, and reporting skills.
Educated to degree level or equivalent; you will hold the CIH housing qualification at level 4 or be willing to work towards this qualification.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check.
A current and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for work-related travel.
