Indirect Sourcing Manager
Location: Hoddesdon/Hybrid
Salary: up to £70,000 + car allowance + bonus
Reporting to: Head of Procurement
Travel: Occasional international travel required
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Indirect Sourcing Manager to lead category management and sourcing initiatives across a diverse portfolio of indirect spend. This role is pivotal in shaping procurement strategies that drive long-term value, mitigate risk, and support business growth across UK and international markets. You'll be responsible for developing and delivering category strategies across areas such as professional services, IT and automation, logistics (warehouse and transport), facilities, property, and marketing. The successful candidate will influence senior stakeholders, lead complex negotiations, and ensure procurement is embedded early in business planning.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals and ESG priorities.
Lead strategic sourcing projects from RFI/RFP through to implementation.
Negotiate high-value, multi-year contracts with global suppliers.
Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to shape demand and embed procurement best practices.Success Measures
Documented category strategies with measurable impact.
Delivery of sourcing projects on time and within scope.
Achievement of cost savings and non-financial benefits (e.g., ESG, innovation).
Positive stakeholder feedback and early procurement engagement.Candidate Profile
Degree-qualified in Business, Economics, Supply Chain or related field.
MCIPS qualified preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in category management and international sourcing.
Strong negotiation, contracting, and financial analysis skills.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
