Job Description
Kinetic Manchester are supporting an international textile company in the recruitment of an Industrial Sewing Machinist for their Trafford Park site.
We are looking for a skilled Sewing Machinist with experience using industrial sewing machines, capable of carrying out alterations and repairs to a high standard.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.
Responsibilities of the Industrial Sewing Machinist:
* Confidently operate industrial or domestic sewing machines
* Carry out garment alterations and repairs with precision
* Shorten trouser legs and sleeves
* Repair holes, tears, and frayed areas
* Reinforce seams and stitching where required
* Attach or reattach logos, patches, and labels
* Ensure high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail
To be successful within this global company as the Industrial Sewing Machinist you must have:
* Previous experience in a production or tailoring environment is desirable
* Proven experience using industrial or domestic sewing machines
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Flexible to work both 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts
Additional Details:
* £13.03ph (Starting salary of £25,427)
* £13.57ph (Post 12 weeks rising to £26,474)
* Permanent opportunity with monthly performance-based bonuses
