Job Description
Hi
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial / Spray Painter to join our production team in Aylesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting a wide range of equipment - from small components to large assemblies (up to the size of a mini van) - using 2-pack (two-component) paint systems.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
Apply 2-pack epoxy and polyurethane coatings using spray gun, brush, or roller techniques.
Safely mix and handle 2-pack paints in accordance with manufacturer specifications and COSHH guidelines.
Perform visual inspections and thickness testing to verify compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
NVQ/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience working with 2-pack paint systems (epoxy/polyurethane).
Strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing standards.
Awareness of PPE requirements and safe handling of hazardous materials.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is advantageous(Would be beneficial.
What we offer
Competitive Salary: £29,500 - £34,000 per annum (DOE) + 15% shift premium
(Equivalent to approximately £36,000 - £41,000 including shift allowance)
Working Hours:
Monday to Wednesday: 1:30pm - 11:30pm
Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:00pm
