Job Description
Industrial Wet Painter
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Wet Painter to join our client's team in a fast-paced production environment.
This role involves applying high-quality industrial paint finishes to a diverse range of products, from small valves through to 40’ containers. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare components for painting, including cleaning, masking, and general surface preparation
Mix paints accurately to the ratios specified in technical data sheets
Apply industrial coatings in accordance with job specifications and quality requirements
Operate a range of spray equipment, including airless, air-assisted, and conventional spray guns
Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with coating specifications
Complete all required job documentation and paint reports
Work alongside in-house NACE inspectors during inspection and quality control processes
Safely operate cranes to move and position components (license desirable but not essential)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
Rotate between painting booths and areas as required by production demands
Follow all health, safety, and company procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in industrial wet painting or a similar coatings role
Good understanding of surface preparation, paint mixing, and application techniques
Ability to read and follow technical data sheets and job specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
Experience using cranes (advantageous but not mandatory)
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
