Location: Cradley Heath
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm (TTP)
Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour
Job Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Industrial Wood Machinist to join a busy manufacturing team in Cradley Heath. This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity offering long-term prospects for the right candidate. You will be responsible for operating a range of woodworking machinery to produce high-quality timber components to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain woodworking machines such as saws, planers, moulders, and CNC routers.
Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
Measure, cut, and shape wood accurately using appropriate tools and machinery.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures in the workshop.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a wood machinist or in a similar manufacturing role.
Competent in using woodworking machinery and hand tools.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Wood Machining (preferred but not essential).
