Job Description

Injection Mould Setter / Tooling Technician

Our client is a well-established manufacturer seeking an experienced Injection Mould Setter to join their modern, well-equipped toolroom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mould-setting experience and hands-on technical skills to play a key role in supporting production, tooling, and process optimisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  * 

    Safely mounting and dismounting injection mould tools

  * 

    Accurate setting of injection moulding tools and operating moulding machines

  * 

    Carrying out tool changes and process set-ups

  * 

    Performing routine machine maintenance

  * 

    Supporting tool trials and first-off approvals

  * 

    Conducting quality control checks to ensure parts meet specification

  * 

    Using a range of engineering machines within the toolroom

  * 

    Modifying and preparing injection mould tools for production

  * 

    Working on maintenance, repair, and modification of mould tools

  * 

    Liaising with customers and suppliers when required

  * 

    Completing stock checks and organising tooling resources

  * 

    Preparing new mould tools for production launch

Candidate Requirements

  * 

    Proven experience in injection mould setting

  * 

    Knowledge of Arburg and/or Demag injection moulding machines

  * 

    Ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising safety or quality

  * 

    Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a small team

  * 

    Good understanding of materials and moulding processes

  * 

    Reliable, hands-on, and committed to high standards of workmanship
