Job Description
Join a modern, well-equipped toolroom featuring a full range of conventional and CNC machinery, and become part of a growing, specialist plastic injection toolmaking business.
Due to continued growth and a strong order book, the company is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to manufacture, maintain, and repair both prototype and fully hardened production tools.
Up to £40,000, 23+8 days holiday, 08.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 - 16.00 Fridays
As a Toolmaker your duties will include:
Manufacturing, modification, and repair of injection mould tools to a high standard
Operating CNC and conventional toolroom machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM/wire eroders
Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
Fault-finding and wiring of hot runner systems
For the role of Toolmaker, the ideal candidate will:
Have experience in injection mould Toolmaking, and high precision machining, milling, grinding and fitting, both maintenance/repair and manufacture.
Understand and have experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair
Have the ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety
Be knowledgeable and confident working with hot runner systems
