The Injection Mould Setter Opportunity
5S Recruitment are working with a well-established plastic injection moulding manufacturer supplying into automotive, construction and leisure sectors.
Operating from a large, well-invested facility with a modern moulding shop (500T–1300T machines), this business has built a reputation on quality, consistency, and long-term staff retention.
Due to continued demand, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Setter (Level 4) to join their rotating days team.
This is a proper hands-on role ideal for someone who knows their way around a press and takes pride in getting things running right first time.
The Role of Injection Mould Setter
You’ll be responsible for setting and running injection moulding machines, ensuring production meets both quality standards and output targets.
Key responsibilities of the Injection Mould Setter include:

Carrying out tool changes and machine setups safely and efficiently
*
Setting machines to achieve optimum cycle times and quality standards
*
Monitoring and controlling the injection moulding process
*
Ensuring parts meet specification and production targets
*
Supporting troubleshooting and process adjustments where required
*
Working closely with production and quality teams on shift
*
Established UK manufacturer with decades of stability
*
Injection moulding machines ranging 500T – 1300T
*
Mix of Negri Bossi & Borche machinery
*
Clean, structured shop floor with strong process and quality focus
What We’re Looking For in the ideal Injection Mould Setter
This isn’t a button-presser role, you’ll need to understand moulding properly.
Key requirements:

Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter
*
Strong experience with tool changes and machine setup
*
Solid understanding of plastic processing and troubleshooting
*
Experience working within a manufacturing / production environment
*
Forklift or lifting equipment experience (advantageous)
*
A flexible, team-focused attitude with a hands-on approach
Shift Pattern
Rotating weekly days:

Week 1: Early Shift
*
Week 2: Late Shift
