Job Description

Our client a global shipping and logistics company dedicated to offering customers effective and reliable multimodal logistics solutions are recruiting for an Inside Sales and Pricing Specialist to be based at offices in Widnes, Cheshire. On Offer: * Competitive salary c.£45K plus commission, based on skills and experience * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * Pension Scheme * Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Main Purpose of the Inside Sales and Pricing Specialist: * Focus on development of own accounts primary area sea freight FCL / LCL, imports and exports. * Freely develop any other areas of the forwarding business, sea / air / road / warehouse. * Assist the team with pricing enquiries, for sea freight only. * Drive forward business opportunities, and increase company volume and profile * Responsible for the day-to-day self performance, including delivering new accounts, co-ordinating with carriers, and assisting BDM team with enquiries. * Ensure accurate and timely quoting, and follow up * Keep own performance record and show development progress when required. Duties and Responsibilities of the Inside Sales and Pricing Specialist: * Achieve profitable growth * Show flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to embrace the challenge * Build relationships across the board, colleagues, suppliers and customers * Take decisive action when necessary * Focus on targets to achieve growth * Understand market conditions, and ensure this is communicated to the operational team and BDM’s * Build client confidence * Explore customer opportunities to provide new value to the client * Ability to understand cost and profit drivers * Apply financial, and risk management to evaluate commercial opportunities and ensure balance of risk / reward To Be Considered: * Freight forwarding industry experience working in a commercially orientated role * Ability to provide reports using various software * Good communications skills * Ability to analyse, change, and adapt * Willingness to learn new things * Ability to work in a team environment * Work to given timeframes/deadlines * Motivate self to obtain best results * Knowledge of excel & word documents For full details, contact Willis Global – a leading Recruitment Consultancy for the Supply Chain & Logistics industry
