Job Description
Electrical Auxiliary and LV Systems Inspector needed for a Major Offshore Wind Developer in Europe
Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections and regular construction supervision for all electrical auxiliary and LV systems on the offshore platform.
Review and apply relevant technical documentation such as ITP, test protocols, design.
Report findings, deviations and non-conformities and discuss potential solutions and mitigation options with client's engineering Backoffice (in English language).
Quality assurance with respect to the contractual scope of work of the EPCI contractor using the internal QS system.
Witnessing of the relevant suppliers activities during the installation and commissioning of the related equipment.
Identification of HSE related non-conformities with the written procedures.
Participation in construction activities on the related systems during commissioning, troubleshooting / repair, reliability testing including documentation of the associated results.
Checking of documents to clarify technical questions and to prepare for acceptance tests (e.g. supplier quality plan, test plan, parameter sheets, contents of acceptance reports, templates for acceptance procedures).
Knowledge about electrical auxiliary systems of substations such as FiFi, HVAC electrical, CCTV, diesel generator, LV systems (switchboards, cables etc.) and have knowledge about relevant codes & standards and the certification of these systems.
Requirements:
Detailed knowledge of electrical auxiliary systems for substations: FiFi, HVAC electrical, CCTV, diesel generator, LV systems (switchboards, cables, etc.)
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and certification processes for these systems
Relevant degree in electrical engineering or as an electrical/automation technician.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in QA and commissioning supervision and inspection.
Fluent in English (minimum B2 level; written & spoken).
Offshore certifications & valid trainings (e.g. GWO, HUET, medical, PSA)
Valid driver's license.
Own equipment: laptop, smartphone (incl. SIM), camera (smartphone sufficient), small tools.
Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Ability to report findings, discuss non-conformities with client's engineering team, and propose solutions.
Strong understanding of HSE and QA systems and compliance proceduresBefore You Apply
