Shifts: Days 8.00 – 4.30 pm Mon to Thurs and 8 – 1 pm on a Friday / Backs 12.00 pm – 20.30 pm

Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Installation Electrician to join a dynamic team supporting the installation and commissioning of electrical systems across a busy industrial site. This is a hands-on role suited to a self-motivated and safety-conscious professional.
As an Installation Electrician, you will be responsible for the full electrical installation lifecycle, from reading schematics and drawings to fitting, testing, and commissioning systems. You will work across electrical infrastructure, control panels, and automation systems, contributing to both new installations and improvements to existing infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
* Installing electrical systems, machinery wiring, distribution boards, and containment.
* Fitting and commissioning control panels and production line automation.
* Interpreting layout plans and technical diagrams to complete accurate installations.
* Ensuring safe isolation and handover of systems in compliance with BS 7671.
* Working closely with supervisors and contractors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Completing upgrades, minor modifications, and documentation to support safety and compliance.
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in the Installation Electrician role, you will need:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
* City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS 7671).
* Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Proficiency with 3-phase systems, cable containment, and fault-finding.
* Ability to work from electrical drawings and schematics.
* Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Desirable but not essential:
* City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
* PASMA or IPAF qualifications (training available).
* Experience in cleanroom or ESD environments.
* PAT testing qualification (C&G 2377).
