Installation Electrician – GTR Depots South
Full-Time | Permanent
Salary up to £44,000
Are you a qualified and motivated Installation Electrician looking for your next opportunity? We’re currently seeking experienced electricians to join my clients growing team, working across various GTR depot locations in the South (from Battersea to Eastbourne). This is a dynamic role combining electrical installation with maintenance support on a critical transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install new electrical systems in accordance with relevant regulations and site specifications.
* Assist with both reactive and planned maintenance tasks on electrical equipment listed on the client’s asset register.
* Deliver and complete weekly job paperwork and submit to Head Office by each Friday.
* Take delivery of materials, check delivery notes, and hand documentation to the site foreman.
* Assess and report the condition of existing plant and equipment. Submit Life Expired Asset Reports when necessary.
* Compile remedial work lists following Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits.
* Support the Contracts Manager in preparing accurate job costings.
* Order required materials and submit purchase documentation weekly.
* Attend Health & Safety and other training courses as required.
* Report any accidents to the site’s nominated First Aider and complete relevant accident report forms.
Working Hours:
* Core Hours: 08:00 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
* Flexibility Required: Some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on workload.
* On-Call: Must be willing to respond to occasional callouts as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in electrical installation.
* Knowledge of maintenance procedures and reactive repair protocols.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to paperwork and reporting deadlines.
* Able to work safely and comply with site-specific procedures.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to travel to various GTR Depot locations as needed.
