Job Description
Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a skilled Instrument Designer to join our client in Macclesfield. Our client play a big role in the pharmaceutical engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver E&I designs (2D layouts, loop diagrams, cable routing)
*
Support concept through to detailed design (RIBA stages 2–4)
*
Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams
*
Conduct site surveys and support construction phases
*
Ensure compliance with CDM, ATEX, and quality standards
Requirements:
✔ 5+ years’ design experience (pharmaceutical preferred)
✔ HNC/Degree in Engineering
✔ Strong knowledge of E&I design principles, CDM Regs, and hazardous area design
✔ Proficient in AutoCAD LT & Microsoft Office
✔ Compex 12 and Functional Safety knowledge (IEC 61508/61511) desirable
NOTE: salary is dependent on experience within relevant sectors i.e. pharmaceuticals, water, nuclear, etc.
