NES Fircroft on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas Operator are hiring an Instrument Engineer to join a long-term project supporting two major UK gas terminals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving daily instrumentation challenges, and influencing how a discipline operates.
You’ll be working across instrumentation integrity, maintenance support, upgrades, troubleshooting, and safety assurance — including involvement in HAZOPs, LOPAs, Fire & Gas, ESD systems, ATEX, and more. Plenty of variety, strong visibility, and the chance to make a real impact on operational performance.
What we’re looking for:
🔹 Strong instrumentation background within Oil & Gas (ideally 5–10 yrs)
🔹 HNC/HND minimum; Chartered preferred
🔹 Solid understanding of onshore/offshore gas operations
🔹 Confident with safety-critical systems and Management of Change
🔹 Someone who enjoys supporting technicians and improving discipline standards

Based in Norwich (travel to Bacton & Dimlington)
Monday–Friday
