Instrument Technician | £28,000 - £32,000 | Lewes

You will be part of a skilled and motivated production team committed to applying best practices in assembly, testing, and continuous improvement.
The Role:
* Assembly of high-quality electro-mechanical instruments in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
* Conducting testing, calibration, and quality checks on completed products.
* Repairing instruments and occasionally installing customer-owned units both on-site and at customer locations.
* Performing fault-finding and troubleshooting using circuit diagrams and test equipment.
Key Skills and Attributes:
* Proven background in electro-mechanical assembly and testing, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Experience working with precision-engineered mechanical components.
* Excellent manual dexterity and ability to use a range of hand and power tools.
* Competence in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Skilled in fitting and shaping metal parts, including small-bore pipework.
* Ability to assemble wiring looms from diagrams and perform cable preparation, crimping, and soldering.
* Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical test instruments (e.g., multimeters, micrometers, Vernier gauges).
