Location: Solihull - Hybrid Work Pattern Contract: 6 months Are you an experienced Claims Handler ready for your next challenge? Hays is recruiting an Insurance Services Claims Handler to join a dynamic team, delivering a high-quality service to claimants, internal teams, and external stakeholders. About the RoleAs an Insurance Services Claims Handler, you will manage all insurance claims for the Council, either in-house or in collaboration with our third-party claims handling agent. You'll ensure claims are processed efficiently and decisions are reached within set targets. Key Responsibilities: Register new claims on the claim system. Investigate in-house claims thoroughly, gathering data and evidence internally and externally. Communicate claim outcomes in line with agreed timescales. Monitor claims handled by third-party agents to ensure compliance with targets. Manage administrative, technical, and financial aspects of claims. What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Claims Handler, with knowledge of insurance programmes. Ability to manage claims from inception through to decision point. Strong organisational skills for accurate claim recording and financial handling. Local government experience is not required-we value transferable skills from other sectors.
