Our client, a well-respected domestic abuse charity is looking to recruit an Integrated Support Practitioner to provide tailored support to victims and families impacted by domestic abuse while perpetrators engage in services. The role ensures victim safety, bridges gaps in services, and supports holistic, trauma-informed care that prioritises well-being and positive outcomes.
Synopsis of duties:
Proactively contact survivors to offer support services, ensuring their safety and well-being during perpetrator interventions.
Develop and implement tailored safety plans, coordinating with multi-agency partners as needed.
Provide emotional support and information to survivors about the nature, impact, and limitations of the intervention.
Act as a liaison between victims, families, and service providers to ensure seamless access to appropriate resources.
Conduct risk assessments using tools such as the DASH Risk Identification Checklist and create responsive action plans.
Monitor and escalate safeguarding concerns to appropriate statutory services, following organisational policies and SET safeguarding guidelines.
Respond to significant changes in risk
Update partners about intervention progress, assessment/engagement outcomes, or drop-outs.
Collaborate with facilitators to align victim support with perpetrator behaviour change interventions.
Facilitate referrals to specialist services, including mental health, housing, and substance misuse support.
Maintain accurate case records using the Pandora case management system, ensuring timely updates and compliance with GDPR.
Participate in relevant multi-agency processes and undertake institutional advocacy on behalf of survivors, as needed.
Attend regular management supervision sessions, reflective practice meetings, and ongoing training to maintain professional knowledge and resilience.
Participate in case management, clinical supervision, and practice development activities.
Contribute to the development of service strategies and share insights from direct client work to inform continuous improvement.
Participate in organisational evaluations, feedback processes, and quality assurance activities to uphold service standards.Essential requirements
IDVA trained or have a significant backing ground working with victim/survivors
Experience of recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns
Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework.
Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact it has on victims and their children.
Clear Adult and Child DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
