Job Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurses to join our agency team for shifts at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

You will be providing high-quality care to critically ill patients requiring advanced organ support, close monitoring, and complex nursing interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional, evidence-based care to critically ill adults in the Intensive Care Unit.
*
Undertake thorough patient assessments, plan and implement individualised care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
*
Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, inotropes, and other advanced life-support equipment.
*
Administer intravenous medications and infusions safely in accordance with hospital policy.
*
Recognise and respond promptly to signs of patient deterioration, escalating concerns as appropriate.
*
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in line with NMC and hospital standards.
*
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care.
*
Adhere to infection prevention, control, and safety protocols at all times.
*
Support colleagues and contribute to maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
Requirements:
Essential:
*
Registered General Nurse (Adult) – NMC registered.
*
Minimum 12 months’ experience in an ICU or Critical Care environment (UK hospital experience preferred).
*
Up-to-date clinical skills in airway management, ventilation, and IV drug administration.
*
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification.
*
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
*
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable:
*
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
*
Completion of a post-registration critical care course (CC3 or equivalent).
*
Previous experience within a major teaching hospital or tertiary ICU.
