Interim Commissioning (Home Care) Manager
Location: Burnley Office (covering Colne – Blackburn)
Salary: £350 – £450 per day (DOE)
Hours: Flexible (2–3 days per week or full-time if preferred)
Contract: Approx. 1 month (with potential to extend, depending on consultation)
Start Date: October 2025
Essential Requirements
*
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance within domiciliary/home care services
*
Experience developing and implementing policies, procedures, and care pathways
*
Proven background in preparing services for CQC inspection
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
*
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
Desirable:
*
Established contacts within Lancashire County Council (LCC)
*
Previous experience in securing direct payment packages
*
Experience working with NHS and local authority commissioners
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Commissioning Manager to support a growing home care service based in Burnley. This short-term role will focus on ensuring the service is fully compliant, structured, and prepared for future CQC inspection (expected within 18–24 months).
Key responsibilities include:

Reviewing regulatory compliance and ensuring readiness for CQC inspection
*
Designing, developing, and implementing robust policies, procedures, and care pathways in line with legislation and best practice
*
Supporting engagement with Lancashire County Council to establish direct payment package opportunities
*
Working alongside existing NHS contacts and strengthening commissioning links
*
Providing professional guidance to ensure sustainability and quality within the service
