We’re working with a well-regarded housing association seeking an experienced Interim Disrepair Surveyor to support a stock-wide condition programme. This role will focus on identifying property defects, particularly around damp, mould, and disrepair risks, feeding into wider stock intelligence and compliance planning.
You’ll carry out technical inspections, manage a portfolio of disrepair-related cases, and contribute to their proactive asset management strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out detailed stock condition surveys across general needs and supported housing stock.

Identify and diagnose property defects including structural, damp, condensation, and HHSRS hazards.
*
Produce high-quality reports and repair schedules to inform disrepair response and planned works.
*
Liaise with legal and asset teams regarding disrepair claims and complex cases.
*
Update asset data systems with accurate survey outputs.
*
Support the housing association in shaping future capital investment and compliance programmes.
What You’ll Bring:

Proven experience in disrepair or condition surveying within the housing sector.
*
Sound knowledge of social housing legislation, HHSRS, and landlord obligations.
*
Excellent reporting and communication skills.
*
Familiarity with stock condition software (e.g., Keystone, Lifespan) is advantageous
