Interim Financial Controller (FTC) - Up to £70,000
📍 Northampton | 💼 Fixed-Term Contract (6-12 months) | 💰 £65,000 - £70,000
Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for your next challenge? We're working with a well-established business in Northampton who are seeking an immediately available interim Financial Controller to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis.
🔍 The Role:
As Interim Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in supporting the business through a period of change, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting, and leading a small finance team. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders and be a hands-on part of the month-end process and forecasting cycle.
🧾 Responsibilities:
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
Deliver accurate management accounts and financial reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring deadlines are met
Liaise with external auditors and advisors
✅ Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Previous experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance lead
Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen
Comfortable in a hands-on role with the ability to hit the ground running
Must be immediately available
Must live locally to Northampton or within commutable distance
💼 The Offer:
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 (pro rata)
Fixed-term contract: 6-12 months
