Job Description
Axon Moore are delighted to be supporting a leading business in North Yorkshire in the appointment of a Finance MI and Data Manager for a 12 month contract.
You will play a key role in shaping and developing systems and ensuring that the financial data is accurate, in order to support commercial decision-making. You will lead the enhancement of dashboards and data models and ensure systems are processes are fit for purpose
The key roles and responsibilities for this person will include:
Develop, maintain and enhance financial and operational reporting across the business) using Excel or Power BI as appropriate.
Own the creation and distribution of management information (MI), dashboards, and KPIs using Power BI tools focusing on both YTD performance but also the full year targets.
Validate the integrity of the Finance Data
Maintain data governance, user access controls, and process documentation.
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate fixes with internal IT teams or external vendors.
Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and streamline reporting workflows.Act as a subject matter expert on reporting capabilities
The ideal candidate requirements for this role will include the following:
Strong experience in finance systems management
Advanced skills with Power BI and Excel including financial modelling
Solid understanding of ERP systems
Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
Excellent communication skills with ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
Proven track record of improving reporting processes and system functionality.
This is a 12 month role starting in January 2026
