Job Description
CMA Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced interim Management Accountant to support a busy finance team through a key reporting and systems improvement phase.
You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing visibility of project performance, supporting decision-making, and improving process efficiency.
You will be available on short-notice for a period of 3 - 5 months.
What will the interim Management Accountant role involve?
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary
Maintain and reconcile WIP, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring accurate project profitability
Develop and automate forecasting and budgeting models, improving accuracy and turnaround time
Working with large data sets and able to build, troubleshoot, and automate financial reporting across Power BI and Excel
Suitable Candidate for the interim Management Accountant vacancy:
CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent
Advanced Power BI skills – able to set up, refine and troubleshoot dashboards & data models
Strong Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, XLOOKUPs, VBA an advantage)
Proven ability to manage WIP, forecasting, and month-end processes
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
