Job Description
I am delighted to be representing a fantastic organisation based in Norwich who are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Operations and Logistics.
This is a key leadership position within the business, responsible for driving efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across all warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team to deliver seamless end-to-end performance – from inventory management through to final delivery – ensuring high standards of service, safety, and cost control are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage daily warehouse, logistics, and transport operations.
Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Monitor KPIs, identify issues, and implement data-driven solutions.
Develop logistics strategies to optimise service levels and cost control.
Implement effective stock management and inventory control processes.
Take ownership of Health & Safety compliance and proactive risk management.
Support business growth through effective planning and process optimisation.
Contribute to system improvement projects, including Warehouse Management System upgrades.About You:
Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, ideally within a retail or fast-paced operational environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to make confident decisions.
Financially astute with experience managing budgets and driving efficiencies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP/WMS systems.
