Job Description
Interim Packaging Technologist - UK - Outside IR35
We are seeking an experienced and Packaging Technologist for an initial contract for our food manufacturing client.
The Candidate
* You will be able to exemplify in depth food packaging and systems knowledge and possess a track record of working in fast paced food manufacturing environments.
* Happy to get stuck in on the factory floor conducting factory trials.
* Having an up-to-date knowledge of packaging and sustainability trends, legislation, challenges and technologies.
* Ability to create, innovate and investigate more sustainable practices.
* Helpful if you have the following knowledge: WRAP, Plastic Pact, OPRL.
The Role:
* You’ll be reporting into the Head of NPD working as part of a team
* Assist in building and maintaining the innovation packaging reduction program, driving continuous improvement and sustainable policies.
* Assist the NPD team in new concepts and implement packaging formats off the back of this.
* Organise and undertake packaging trials.
* Engage with Technical & Operations teams to check quality, reports and claims when required.
The Offering:
Day Rate, dependant on experience, plus expenses.
