Interim Principal Accountant
Government - London
6 month initial contract
£550+ p/d (Inside IR35)
2-3 days a week on site
About the client
Morgan Law is seeking an interim Principal Accountant for a Local Authority in the London area to work with the Chief Accountant to get the accounts finalised.
Accountabilities
Closure of accounts Excel model (advanced spreadsheet skills)
Collection fund accounts
Capital financing and fixed asset experience
Preparation of statement of accounts
Experience with liaison with external auditors Candidate Requirements
Ability to work autonomously
Qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) (E)
At least 5 years experience as a Closure Accountant in a local authority setting and a deep knowledge of statutory accounting requirements (E)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Immediately available for workCampaign Timeline
