We're Hiring: Procurement Officer | Plymouth| Hybrid | £350/day | 2-3 Year Contract
Are you a procurement professional ready to make a long-term impact in a fast-paced operational environment? We're partnering with a leading organisation in the energy sector to recruit a Procurement Officer on a 2-3 year contract.
📍 Location: Plymouth (Hybrid)

💰 Rate: £350 per day (Inside IR35)
📆 Contract Length: 2-3 years
🔍 About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to support a critical site in the energy generation sector. You'll lead procurement activities across a wide range of goods and services, ensuring value, compliance, and operational efficiency in a long-term project environment.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing and procurement processes, ensuring best value and quality.
Manage tenders, negotiations, and contract execution in line with procurement policies.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Support compliance with HSEQ and information security standards.
Operate procurement systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
✅ What We're Looking For:
Proven procurement experience in a similar role (essential).
Experience in power generation, petrochem, or heavy engineering (desirable).
Strong understanding of contract law and commercial risk management.
Skilled in drafting and negotiating complex contracts.
CIPS Level 4 (minimum), working towards Level 6.
Proficiency in SAP and e-tendering systems (essential).
Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skillsBefore You Apply
