Interim SENCO & Deputy DSL
South Liverpool| Start: December | Maternity Cover
Are you an experienced SENCO with a passion for inclusion and safeguarding? We’re looking for a talented and committed Interim SENCO & Deputy DSL to join a welcoming primary school from December to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where you’ll have a real impact on children’s learning, wellbeing, and safety. You’ll benefit from a paid handover period to ensure a smooth start and the full support of a dedicated leadership team.
What you’ll be doing
Leading SEN provision alongside the existing SENCO.
Supporting and guiding staff to deliver inclusive practice.
Overseeing EHCPs, interventions, and progress tracking.
Acting as Deputy DSL, working closely with the safeguarding team.
Building strong relationships with families and external agencies.
What we’re looking for
QTS with proven classroom experience (primary).
A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
Confidence in supporting safeguarding and child protection.
A collaborative, compassionate leader with excellent communication skills.
