Interim SENCo - Secondary School
📍 Location: On-site, Secondary School, Yorkshire
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📆 Contract: Full-time, Interim (Until Christmas)
💷 Daily Rate: Competitive (Dependent on experience)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Interim SENCo to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school with a high level of SEN need. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a setting that prioritises inclusive education and adaptive teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on the strategic development of SEN provision across the school.
Champion inclusive practices and support staff in delivering adaptive teaching strategies.
Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure high-quality teaching for all learners.
Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements.
Provide direct teaching support where needed (some teaching responsibilities are expected).
Work closely with the Deputy SENCo to manage caseloads and documentation.
Requirements:
NASENCO qualification (or equivalent) - essential.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential.
Proven experience in a secondary setting with high SEN needs.
Strong understanding of inclusive education and adaptive teaching.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
