Interior Designer Job in New Milton, Hampshire
A Midweight Interior Designer job is now available with a workplace design and build practice based in New Milton, Hampshire. With a growing pipeline of work, our client is looking to bring on a new designer. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive generous benefits + hybrid working.
Established in 2008, the practice operates under a number of divisions and have gone from strength to strength over the years. This is a creative design role within the design & build sector. The successful candidate will have experience working from concept through to installation, liaising with both clients and contractors and will be able to work under the guidance of the head of design and with the support from a wider design team.
Role & Responsibilities
Transform briefs into compelling design concepts
Create moodboards, sketches, 2D/3D visuals and presentations as required
Conduct design research to support creative direction
Collaborate with clients to understand briefs
Present ideas effectively and update clients and teams on progress
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and colleagues to deliver projects on time and within budget
Manage project budgets by tracking costs and collaborating with finance team
Produce CAD drawings and review technical packages
Prepare documentation for visualisers and estimators
Develop and maintain detailed finished and FF&E schedules
Attend site visits, conduct detailed surveys and audits
Source and select materials, finishes, lighting, furniture and biophilic elements
Ensure all designs comply with building regulations and codes
Address site and design issues as needed, adapting to changes.Required Skills & Experience
Degree in either Interior Design or Interior Architecture is required
Minimum of 5 years' UK experience, with at least 2 years in workplace design and build
Experience with commercial projects over 10,000 sq ft is ideal
Skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
Vectorworks experience is advantageous
Excellent communication, including pitching and presentation skills
Proven experience managing multiple projects across all stages
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as needed.What you get back
£30,000 - £50,000 (open for more experienced candidates)
Flexible working approach, hybrid working up to 2 days each week (after probation and based on project requirements)
