Intermediate Electrical Engineer Carbon Shift Team
Remote (UK-based) | Full-Time | Permanent Position

We are a purpose-driven engineering team working to decarbonise buildings, infrastructure, and industrial systems across the UK and beyond. As part of our Carbon Shift Team, you’ll play a vital role in accelerating the energy transitionâ€"applying your technical skills to deliver practical, future-ready solutions.
We're looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer with experience in building services or energy systems design, and a passion for delivering sustainable outcomes through innovation and collaboration.
Your Role
Develop and review electrical designs (LV/MV) for decarbonisation and energy retrofit projects.
Support technical assessments, site surveys, and feasibility studies for commercial, institutional, and public sector clients.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, energy modellers, and project managers to produce integrated energy strategies.
Contribute to the specification and integration of renewable technologies such as solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging infrastructure.
Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with UK regulations, including BS7671 and relevant building and electrical standards.
About you
A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3-6 experience in electrical design, ideally within building services, renewables, or low-carbon projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant electrical design software.
Knowledge of UK electrical codes and safety regulations.
Chartered or working toward Chartered status (e.g., CEng, IET) is an asset.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a remote, multidisciplinary team.What We Offer
