Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services (Intermediate to Senior)

A well-established building services consultancy with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality design and technical solutions is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
With a strong pipeline of projects and a trusted client base - including significant ongoing work with the NHS - this is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to take ownership of projects and progress within a collaborative, close-knit team.
About the Role
You'll work on a range of healthcare refurbishment projects, as well as commercial and mixed-use developments. The role will see you involved from concept through to detailed design, including site coordination and client interaction.
You'll be joining a 10-person team, with support from a Revit specialist and strong technical leadership.
The company is open to both permanent and contract appointments, offering flexibility to suit individual circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and develop electrical design solutions for healthcare, commercial, and refurbishment projects
Prepare drawings, schematics, calculations, and specifications to industry standards
Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and contractors to deliver coordinated designs
Attend site meetings, client briefings, and design reviews
Contribute to maintaining the consultancy's reputation for technical excellence and reliability
What You'll Bring
Experience as an Electrical Building Services Engineer (intermediate to senior level)
Background in healthcare or refurbishment projects beneficial
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous but not essential)
Strong understanding of electrical building services systems and relevant design codes
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
